Hi Beeb, Way way back I used to go to the Reading Rock Festivals, anyway in 1977 I was there and mid to late afternoon a band hit the main stage who I had never heard of The Little River Band, and since then loved the music, saw you again in 78 or 79 in London, then was able to record Backstage Pass live from Sydney, Well that format of tape went out of fashion so I lost the Vidio but brought the LP, and since the CD, which it high up in my top 10 LP's, have some Pictures of you glenn and graham from Reading festival, if you want a copy of them, to use or pass to Glenn or Graham I think Ric F is on there as well, just let me know I will scan them and send them, or better still I have the negs still somewhere might need a bit of digging out.
As Im writing BSP is on Light of Day:-)

Hey Beeb
I just stumbled across this website and I am absolutely stoked to see photos of you guys at the ARIAs. It was that line up that really got me into music. I will never forget the Sleeper Catcher album and George's awesome bass solo in Light Of Day. As a bass player myself, George was one of my greatest influences. Thanks for many great years of music man. I still listen to the great stuff you all put out. Take care and God Bless... Tony Bonnici

Hi Beeb ,I have been in bands and in music for around 26 years and listening to the LRB material who inspires me still today as well as John Farnham, Beatles Dean Martin Frank Sinatra and many more! you guys inspired me as a kid in the 70's and as a singer myself I still wonder how you guys sing those harmonies !! Unfotunately for me I never had very good back up singers in my past groups as good as yours .It is very hard to find the right ones!!! Fortunately for me It made me a better singer to which I can change my voice to either sound like other well known singers and as my own!! ..I am currently in a Duo in Sydney called Groove Cafe where we do covers and a few of my own original sogs which I co wrote with my friend Leon Berger from Powerplay Studios. I am currently working on 2 new modern country style songs which one is nearly complete and the other one has just been started. My friend Pete Graham from 2UE in Sydney wants to give it a plug on his Sat night show when It's finished..Can't wait !!.Thanks Beeb .hope to hear from you soon !! Pauly
I saw LRB in Melbourne in 1979, great show. Recently bought BSG dvd and really enjoy. Any plans for new music, tour in North America?
Hi Beeb. You probably dont remember me. My name is Chris Higgins, Teddy Higgins son. Anyway i always read up on old ZOOT members. I have set up a facebook dedication site to the ZOOT and any information, pictures of old days, or if you want to contribute would be great. Facebook is a huge internet medium now and trying to get dad on there. Hope all is well and great to see your still actively involved in the music industry. Regards, Chris higgins.

Hey Beeb! Wow - so great to find you! Great websites! I am so glad you are still doing work with Glenn and Graeham. Meeting you back in the 70's was one of the best experiences of my life. You are one of a kind and a wonderful, loving human being. It looks like you are still enjoying life to the fullest and I wish you all the best! Brenda Burt (formerly Niemi)
Hi Beep (gerard) I'm an old family friend of you, your sister Elly and your parents. I go back with y'all to 1959 when we left A'dam to emigrate to Australia where we finished up in Adelaide. I left in 1964 to go to the USA (LA area. I lost contact; however I listed to the "Little River Band" who appeared in Las Vegas at the Cannery. talked to one of the bandmembers (Base player) Wilson I think his name was who told me that you have lived in the USA (Nashville TN)since 1984. It would be fantastic to here from you or your parents. Any way you have my e-mail address. Phone 702-399-7728
Just thought that you'd like to know that Britain's Cherry Red label have recently released "Little River Band-Live Exposure" on DVD, and it is the rare longer version(75 minutes), which was released only once before(on an early needle & groove videodisc system named "CED").
While The new DVD has been manufactured in England, it is pressed in the North America video format(NTSC) and the disc is "all regions", so you can play it anywhere.
A few years ago, I recorded a DVD-R for Beeb(copied from a VHS copy of the CED disc), but now all fans can have the 75 minute version.
The new DVD is available from Amazon.com or CD Universe.
Also, I'm starting to wonder if all of the ex-Little River Band members(except Wayne Nelson) are now retired. At this point, Stephen Housden is not a member of the fake "Little River Band" anymore.(He still owns the name, and licenses it to Wayne Nelson)

Hi Beeb and Donna,
I don't know if you will remember me, but I was a good friend of Ruth Lewis in Lincoln, Nebraska. It has been a long time since our visit at Ruth's home. It would be great to reconnect- email or otherwise! Peace. LS

Hi Beeb, you may not remember me, I met you so long ago in I think 1980/81 when you toured New Zealand. I worked for EMI and travelled with the band. It was the tour with Wille Nelson's band and Australian Crawl. Anyway I remember talking to you on several occasions especially when we were in Christchurch when as a very mixed up party girl you told me about Jesus. Well the following year I toured with Cliff Richard and he did the same thing. On that tour I was gloriously saved and left EMI went to Bible College and have been a Christian now for 27 years. I just came across your website and want to thank you for what you did it was the start of a brand new life for me. God bless you and your family, Grace Scouller (formally Grace Cardwell)
Hello. I am a big Fan of LRB, and I want to start playing bass. Can you recommend any bass guitar books for the hits?
Hi there - I have been in touch with Gary Shaw (Capitol Records) on MySpace and he advised my to try to contact you since I am in Nashville this week - lunch perhaps?
Some of my music is on the MySpace opage

Beeb,
Always loved your work, and I remember the LRB being the first band I ever saw with two lefthanded players ( Wayne Nelson was the other, am I correct ? ) at one point. The first time I heard " I Always Call Your Name"; when I played it on my radio show in Alaska; it reminded me of the best song Poco ever recorded. You guys were grossly underrated, and probably were victims of the early 80's musical shift away from strong melodies and lyrics towards mindless dance music and post-punk. Hope to see you in Austin some day and would love to get your advice on great non-custom shop lefty guitars and basses

Beeb,
Always loved the LRB sound. I still can't play your licks on Lonesome Loser, and I'm a lefty too. Be well and much appreciation from Memphis.

"It's A Long Way There" in its full, uncut, 8+ glorious minutes is one of the best songs of its generation. The harmonies and instrumentation are lush, and the lyrics are deep and thought-provoking. Thank god for XM Radio's Deep Tracks channel, which has the uncut version on its playlists, keeping it alive for us to hear and enjoy. Eternal thanks from this LRB fan for that amazing piece of music.

Hi there Mr Aussie!
I met a friend of yours at the glasses store on the corner of Aspen Grove yesterday. I don't recall her name but she said your daughter is ? manager of the office at the apartments there? My daughter and her husband live at the condos there at Aspen Grove. She thinks she knows your daughter through a mutual friend called Nicki (and Josh). I think you painted their appartment?
Anyhoo, my husband and I live here in Nashville and I am a Tazzy and he is a Kiwi. We have lived here for about 15 years but every now and again we hear of another Aus/Kiwi we didn't know lived here too. We are off to Aus/NZ in August - super cheap fares being offered at the mo.
The lady at the glasses place said she would make sure we met you so I sincerely hope we do.
We are singers also so will have something in common. Please email me back if you would like to.
We absolutely love LRB
I hope we do meet up sometime.
Cheers,
Sally Burgess
My daughter is Kristy Mays in case your daughter recognizes the name.

I live in St. Louis, Missouri and have lost count of the number of times I have seen Little River Band perform. Truly an amazing group, great songs, musicianship and vocal harmonies. I have all the cd's and listen to them frequently. God bless you all, for the wonderful music you gave the world. John Buesse
